If you find yourself yearning for a picturesque setting combined with exceptional food, look no further than Black Dingo Cafe. Nestled at 1 Tweed Terrace in Coolangatta, Queensland, this charming cafe serves as the perfect refuge for both local residents and travelers. With sweeping views that overlook the Tweed bar and the comforting sound of crashing waves, every visit becomes a delightful experience.

The well-thought-out menu is a delightful fusion of flavors, showcasing dishes that not only satisfy the palate but are also visually appealing.

Start your culinary journey with one of their signature sandwiches. The Smoked Salmon Bagel (A$22.00) is a must-try, rich in flavor with a delicate balance of freshness and smokiness that lingers with every bite. If you're a fan of robust flavors, the Beef Cheeks Baguette (A$23.00) and Pork Belly Baguette (A$22.00) are sure to impress with their melt-in-your-mouth texture and savory glaze, complemented by that ideal crunchy baguette crust that Jenny Bryers Reneti raved about in her review.

For those looking for lighter fare, the Acai Bowl captures an explosion of taste with its perfectly blended acai and topping of the most delicious, nutty granola you've ever had. You can enjoy these health-forward options with a refreshing Kombucha (A$7.00) or a classic Milkshake (A$8.00) that transports you back to childhood bliss.

The true beauty of Black Dingo Cafe extends beyond its delicious offerings. The breathtaking views, especially from the outdoor seating area, render it an outdoor paradise where you could easily spend hours soaking in the surroundings. Sean McGrath reflects on this transformation beautifully, recognizing the cafe’s evolution from a humble kiosk into a vibrant gathering place.

Whether you're there for a quick coffee break or a leisurely brunch with friends, Black Dingo Cafe’s dedication to quality food and exceptional service makes it a must-visit destination in the Tweed area. As Veronica Maiava eloquently put it, "the view is indescribable," but it's the intimate dining experience and flavorful menu that will keep you coming back for more.

The view is indescribable. You have to see it to believe it. The coffee was amazing as was the very simple breakfast we ordered (ham n cheese croissant & scrambled eggs n bacon). Beautiful view and the sound of crashing waves. I guess I did describe it lol.

What a gorgeous spot of the cliff top overlooking the Tweed bar. , but how was the food ? We had Acai Bowls and they were delicious, the Granola is probably the best I've ever had crunchy and such a lovely nutty flavour. Loved it So we have views and food , tick tick But what about the coffee ? Well it was also on point I'm an expresso or short black drinker so coffee flavour is important to me and seriously the coffee was lovely flavoured and very smooth. Not often I go back for another. There you have it Views Food quality And amazing coffee What are you waiting for?

Black Dingo Café is an absolute gem near Coolangatta a must-visit if you’re in the Tweed area! The view alone is worth the trip: stunning coastal outlooks that make you want to sit and stay all day. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, with friendly staff who make you feel truly welcome. The food is fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour I had a perfectly balanced brunch that hit the spot. The coffee? Next-level legendary. Smooth, strong, and made with real care , easily one of the best cups I’ve had on the east coast! Bonus points for the spacious layout, dog-friendly vibe, and local produce used in their menu. Whether you’re after a peaceful solo coffee, a brunch date, or a spot to impress visiting friends Black Dingo delivers. Can’t wait to come back!

Okay, seriously, if you haven't been to Black Dingo Cafe at Point Danger yet, you're missing out! This place is an absolute gem. It used to be just a little kiosk run by VMR, tucked under the Captain Cook Memorial, but wow, have they transformed it! Now, it's a proper cafe, and the first thing that hits you is the view. Whether you're chilling inside or out on the deck, it's just spectacular. You could sit there all day just staring at the ocean. But it's not just about the view. The staff are awesome – super friendly and on the ball. Even when they're busy, you barely wait for your food, which is a huge plus. And when your meal arrives, prepare to be impressed! The portions are generous, and everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. Honestly, Black Dingo Cafe is the perfect spot to grab a bite, soak in those incredible views, and just relax. You won't regret it!

What a view! Black Dingo Cafe is always busy with a great view of the ocean, indoor outdoor seating, and fabulous food. We loved their slow cooked beef cheeks baguette and their lamb baguette! Not only was the meat perfectly cooked but those super soft baguettes with their crisp crunch crust were the best I have ever had... and I have had a few in my lifetime! That balsamic drizzle! Delicious! A taste that makes you want more... Highly recommended for a great lunch while waiting to catch a plane at the Gold Coast Airport which is close by.

I absolutely love this place — everything and everyone here is top-notch. The food, coffee, and drinks are outstanding, and the service is exceptional. Best of all, the view from the seating area, especially outdoors, is second to none. And did I mention the coffee? It’s amazing!

Absolutely divine sandwiches were out of this world. La Bella focaccia was amazing a little bit of Italy crossed my way in nostalgia. 100% recommend for a lunch by the beach.

Amazing. Have been here 4 mornings in a row. Food is tasty and there's something for everybody. The New York cheesecake is yum! Coffee both hot and cold is great. But nobody mentioned the whales - sitting in the sun, enjoying great food, and watching whales splashing and breaching off the coast is next level! So cool.
